Cleaner Wanted

Hobart Women’s Shelter provides crisis accommodation and support to women and children experiencing family violence and/or homelessness. We are currently seeking a dynamic woman* who is extremely organised and a great communicator to join our vibrant and innovative team as a Cleaner.

If you have a high level of initiative, are self-directed, an eye for detail and are particular about cleaning, and looking to work for an organisation that makes a difference, then this could be the job for you.

You would need to be available to work a minimum of 2 days each week.

Our administration centre is located in Glenorchy and you would be required to travel between safe houses within the Hobart area. . The position reports to the Property Manager.

To be considered for the role you will need to demonstrate that you have the skills required to do the job, including the following:

  • Cleaning safe houses.
  • Maintaining inventory and asset register, stock control and restocking for intakes.
  • Cleaning administration centre.
  • Reporting maintenance and safety issues to the Property Manager.
  • Laundering of linen
  • Other duties as required.
